Why is my website or page taking so long to load and display?

There can be several reasons why your page may take a while to load, such as the overuse of images, video's or code on the page. The main issue is usually images. Whether you added many images to your page, or even just a few, the file size of the images (not the dimensional size) can play a big role in your page loading slowly. To reduce the file size of your images, try compressing the image in basic image program. Something as simple (and free) as Microsoft Office Picture Manager (which is generally the program that opens up each time you open an image on your pc) can compress images. Simply open the image, edit, and compress for web. Save the image under a new name, and re-upload to your site in place of the existing images. This should ensure your page loads quicker
