If you find you are receiving an overwhelming amount of spam, you should look at the following ways to help reduce it:


Remove your email address from your website

Rather than having your email address, you should have a link, which opens up a new email. For example, instead of having: 'Email us at info@sitename.com.au' you could have 'Send us an email'. When a site visitor clicks on the 'Send us an email' a new email pop up box can appear


Removing your email address from your website, impedes automated spam software from adding your email address to their database


Set your Spam Filter to high, and reject all spam emails

Login to your website editor, and click on the 'Email' button. From here, click on 'Configure Spam Filter'. Set your spam filter to Medium or High. You can also choose to Flag your email or Reject them. Flagging them, will allow them through through, but will mark them as spam. Rejecting them means you will not receive the emails themselves, but rather a daily list of the email addresses which were rejected
